EVE LiFePO4 Cell Sourcing Guide: LF280K, LF304 and MB31

Compare three prismatic LFP cell models in the Raysun catalog, open the matching specifications and datasheets, and prepare a purchase inquiry that identifies the exact cell and project requirements.

Compare the cell models before requesting a quote

LF280K, LF304 and MB31 are individual EVE lithium iron phosphate cells in our catalog. Each listing has a nominal cell voltage of 3.2 V, while the listed capacity differs. They are cell listings, rather than complete battery packs. The table is an initial reference; confirm the current model revision and quotation specifications before ordering.

Published nominal capacity and voltage in the Raysun catalog
Cell model Nominal capacity Nominal cell voltage Model specifications Downloadable datasheet
EVE LF280K 280 Ah 3.2 V LF280K product page LF280K PDF
EVE LF304 304 Ah 3.2 V LF304 product page LF304 PDF
EVE MB31 314 Ah 3.2 V MB31 product page MB31 PDF

LF280K: specify the full model reference

When asking for the 280 Ah model, include “EVE LF280K” in the inquiry rather than only “280 Ah LFP.” Attach any drawing or datasheet your existing design uses, and ask whether the proposed cells match that revision. Review the terminal arrangement and mechanical dimensions before discussing substitution with another model.

LF304: keep the model page and datasheet together

For an LF304 purchase inquiry, use the 304 Ah product page as the starting point and retain the LF304 PDF as supporting documentation. A shared manufacturer datasheet describes a model; it does not confirm the quantity available, condition of a particular shipment, accessories included or delivery date. Those details belong in the supplier quotation.

MB31: compare more than the capacity figure

The MB31 listing specifies 314 Ah. Its higher nominal capacity than LF280K or LF304 does not by itself establish interchangeability or suitability for an existing design. Check the exact dimensions, terminal requirements and charge/discharge specification with the current documentation. In particular, keep power-based ratings and current-based ratings in their original units when comparing models.

What needs confirmation beyond the datasheet?

A useful cell quotation connects the model specification to the units you intend to purchase. Ask for written confirmation of the following items rather than treating a catalog listing as a promise of stock or a complete shipment specification.

  • Model and revision: exact designation, applicable specification document, terminal version and any proposed alternative.
  • Cell condition and identification: production or batch information, markings and the condition stated in the quotation.
  • Evidence for your project: which capacity, resistance or other inspection records are available, what they cover, and the test conditions used. Do not assume that a generic document describes a particular batch.
  • Mechanical fit and included parts: confirm dimensions against your enclosure drawing and ask which terminal hardware or accessories, if any, are included.
  • Commercial terms: sample availability, minimum order quantity, pricing, lead time, destination and delivery terms are confirmed during the inquiry.
  • Required documents: identify any transport, compliance or project documentation needed and ask what is available for the proposed shipment.

How to read model comparisons without misleading assumptions

Capacity is one part of selection. A cycle-life number should be read together with charge/discharge conditions, temperature, end-of-life criterion and the applicable document revision. Figures measured under different conditions cannot be treated as a direct ranking of model quality.

Similarly, a standard charge or discharge value is not automatically the maximum continuous rating. Keep the distinction between cell voltage and finished-pack voltage, and review electrical, mechanical and thermal requirements for the actual battery design. The comparison above does not prescribe a pack configuration or charger setting.

Prepare an EVE LFP cell purchase inquiry

  1. Choose the exact model, or name the models you need compared.
  2. State whether you need individual cells or a finished battery pack.
  3. Include the requested quantity, intended application and destination.
  4. Attach relevant drawings, specification revisions and any cell acceptance requirements.
  5. List the documents and inspection evidence your project requires.
  6. Ask Raysun to confirm pricing, sample or minimum-order conditions, availability and lead time in the quotation.

Example inquiry: “Please quote EVE LF304 cells for [application], quantity [number], delivery to [destination]. Please confirm the proposed model revision, terminal arrangement, available batch documentation, sample or minimum-order conditions, pricing and lead time.”

Questions buyers commonly need answered

Can I choose a cell only by its Ah capacity?

No. Use capacity to narrow the comparison, then check the exact model specification, physical fit, operating requirements and quotation details. A higher capacity does not establish compatibility.

Does a PDF download confirm stock or delivery time?

No. The PDF supplies model documentation. Current availability, pricing, minimum order quantity and lead time are confirmed during the inquiry.

Where can I compare other cells or a finished pack?

Browse the full battery cell and pack catalog. For the separate 40–120 Ah 6S drone pack range, use the FPV and UAV battery pack selection guide. Pack-level and cell-level specifications should be compared separately.

Discuss your cell sourcing requirements with Raysun

Send the model reference and project requirements so the quotation can address your actual purchase. Stock, samples, minimum quantity, inspection documents and delivery terms are confirmed for each inquiry.
